Children in Room for are motivated to learn. They are also motivated by the positive behaviour and enthusiasm for learning of others. A way we are able to recognise this is by achieving ticks on the board each day. If you get 5 ticks, you then achieve a reward slip. We have now found a way to recognise the daily champion (the person who achieves the most ticks - the record still held by Finn Grant from 2011 - 14 ticks).
Our new award is the Super Duper Soldier Award. Lillian is our first champion. Here is her holding our new trophy.

This week we are focusing on Place Value. We have discussed a story about the Mayor of a town called Place Value and the results of this were amazing!
